Widely recognized as the most realistic rowing simulation, our Wooden Rowing Machines have been manufactured in the USA, with the utmost care and passion for detail, for more than 25 years.
Made using hardwood from only replenishable sources, our designs stand for timeless appeal and prestige in your home interior, at the workplace and in the fitness studio.
The Club meets the high standard of quality that you can expect from any WaterRower model. Each of our rowing machines has been hand finished with three coats of Danish Oil giving a deep lustre and warmth to the wood.
The WaterRower Club is handcrafted in solid ash wood and stained in an attractive rose and black two-tone. It features a double rail, an elevated seat and the S4 Performance Monitor, so as to offer you an incomparable full-body workout.
The WaterRower was invented by John Duke in 1988. The American rower developed the rowing machine’s easy function and timeless design from the basic idea, that dry land training should simulate the given conditions on water as closely as possible.
Timeless appeal and prestige: the WaterRower rowing machine received the PlusX Award for its unique design and was also the only piece of sports equipment on display at the Design Museum of London.
Connect, free of charge, with We-Row and race against other WaterRower owners. Or, if you prefer, set up your own private workout. You can access We-Row and store your data at any time, allowing you to chart your progress and also share with other users.
The WaterRower blends the tranquility of moving water, the warmth of wood, and the rhythm of motion. These qualities combine to provide a naturally pleasurable activity. Invigorating the body while relaxing the mind and involving little to no impact on the joints. Composed to capture the aesthetics of rowing, the WaterRower is enjoyable to use. The calming tones and smooth action encourages the user from stroke to stroke. The symphony of these elements engage the user with a satisfaction which should be experienced!
The rowing stroke uses 84% of the Muscle Mass and is able to burn over 1000 calories per hour. From the tips of the fingers holding the handle/oars, to the balls of the feet connected to the footboard/boat, all the muscles between these two points contribute to the rowing stroke.
There is no jerkiness or jarring which is often associated with conventional mechanical rowing machines making the exercise unpleasant; only smooth even load, kind to the body, and relaxing to the mind.
The WaterRower’s unique WaterFlywheel has been designed to reproduce the precise physical dynamics of a moving boat; the surest way to replicate the physiological benefits and aesthetic pleasure of rowing.
Like rowing, the WaterFlywheel does not apply resistance to you, you apply work to it; you are the engine! By the “rule of cubes”, the amount of work you apply dictates the speed at which you row. Because water is 800 times more dense than the air, the more work you do, the more resistance/drag you can overcome and the faster you move.
The extremely durable, rubber feet provide protection and skid resistance for all types of flooring. The frame is made of solid wood, capable of withstanding the toughest of workouts.
During your workout the seat glides silently on the rails, according to your rowing stroke. Eight ball bearing mounted rolls made of anti-abrasion polyurethane ensure perfect rolling on the rails. The seat is ergonomically cushioned, further providing comfort during use.
The foot board offers the highest level of flexibility when in an optimal rowing position. The ergonomic foot pads and straps are both individually adjustable, guaranteeing maximum comfort.
The sleek S4 Monitor displays important workout data at all times, such as speed, time, calories burned, strokes per minute or distance.
Your performance monitor can also be connected with the free rowing software "We-Row", to help you compete online against other WaterRower owners around the globe.
Connect, free of charge, with We-Row and race against other WaterRower owners. Or, if you prefer, set up your own private training session. You will have the option to store your data and access at any time, which will allow you to chart your progress and also share with other users.
The software is available freely for Mac OS, Windows and Linux. Its only system requirements are an active internet connection and a WaterRower with an S4 Monitor, which comes with a USB port (2.10 firmware).
The WaterRower’s resistance is generated in its unique water tank element. No manual adjustment is necessary to increase/decrease resistance, it precisely adjusts to the user’s movement and strength input.
In an upright position, the WaterRower occupies no more space than a chair. Its center of gravity lies at the water tank which enables you to lift it effortlessly at the rail-end. In any position, the water remains safely in the tank.
Our Rowing Machines are functional fitness furniture, designed not to be hidden away like other unsightly gym equipment, but to look at home in your living room.
Storing in an upright position no wider than a dining room chair, our rowing machines can be easily laid out for a quick indoor rowing exercise session.
