Why the Life Jacket is important
Many rowers think of the life jacket as "too much" or complain that it is not "comfortable". The use of a life jacket is not recommended for inexperienced swimmers alone. On the contrary, many drownings happen to experienced people most commonly due to exhaustion, poor hydration, swift change of the water currents, injury on some rock and thus loss of consciousness, or even overconfidence.
